ABOUT US

Natalia has been playing the violin for 7 years. At Maine East High School, she was the concertmaster of the most advanced orchestra. There, she helped her section become more musically successful in portraying the themes of the orchestra's repertoire by focusing on technique and expression in sectionals. She also helped students better their skills outside of class through lessons.

Additionally, she was the concertmaster of Maine East's Demon Strings, an audition-based chamber group, and has performed in various gigs, performances, and events with the ensemble from 2019-2023. Through participating in several of Maine East's show ensembles such as V-Show Pit and Musical Pit, she was able to experience how music shapes the impressions and emotions of an audience. 

Furthermore, Natalia was a violinist in the Midwest Philharmonic Orchestra, a nationally acclaimed youth orchestra,  from 2020-2023, where she gained experience playing advanced, difficult orchestral pieces such as Beethoven's 5th Symphony. 

In 2022, she earned the honor of being chosen as an ILMEA All-District Musician, making her one of the best high school musicians in the region.  Now, as a college student, she continues her passion for music by performing with Northwestern University's Philharmonia Orchestra.

Sara has been playing the violin for 7 years and the guitar for 2 years.  She has been playing in orchestras and chamber groups since she started, and loves being involved in music and building community thanks to music. 

Sara played in the top Symphonic Orchestra and the V-Show Pit Orchestra at Maine West High School for four years. She was also involved in Maine West's Warrior Strings, an audition-based chamber group, where she performed for various school events.

Sara also enjoys singing and singing along during guitar performances. She sang in the "Beauty and the Beast" musical at Maine West and played guitar at the Maine West Rock Show. Sara mostly plays acoustic for performances but also plays electric guitar and bass guitar on her own time.

She hopes to learn more instruments and become more involved in music by spreading her love for playing with everyone. 

As a college student, Sara performs with the Augustana Symphony Orchestra.
